Rebecca Long Okura is a graduate of the Georgetown University Law Center.
While living in Washington D.C. Rebecca worked on a variety of projects:
contract litigation, tobacco litigation, criminal litigation, real estate
law, employment law, taxes and asset protection, and mergers and
acquisitions. She held legal positions with The Nature Conservancy, the
Department of Housing and Urban Development, and the law firms of Silver
Freedman & Taft LLP, and Krooth & Altman LLP. Also, during law school
Rebecca represented juvenile criminal defendants as part of Georgetown's
clinic program.
Rebecca graduated from law school in 2000 and immediately moved to Utah to
take the bar exam. Rebecca is in her eighth year of legal practice as an
attorney. In December 2004, Rebecca left a medium-sized family law firm to
create her own firm, Long Okura P.C. (www.longokura.com)
Rebecca has focused primarily on Family Law and general litigation, but has
also developed a passion for Real Estate Law and Small Business Law.
Rebecca is in the process of becoming a court-roster approved mediator for
domestic and other disputes, she sits on the Character & Fitness Committee
of the Utah State Bar, and she is a volunteer Judge Pro Tempore for Salt
Lake Justice Court. Rebecca has been a member of CFLU since 2005.
